Simply insert the excess cover into a slot, rest the book block on a rail, and then pull the rotary trimmer across the cover.
Regardless of the book format, the cover is wrapped tightly and consistently. Maping offers a complete line of vinyl manager's covers that are pre-creased and pre-sized to allow you the flexibility of binding any book thickness. No more worrying or constantly measuring spine width!

The R2 is equipped with a 'ready' light to indicate when the adhesive has reached the proper binding temperature. When you're not using the R2, switch off the 'ready' switch so that the machine is in low-temperature mode and saves energy. The next time want to bind books, push the 'ready' switch and the adhesive heats up more quickly

No Setup Time

Like all Fastbind machines, no special Setup is required when you are binding books of different thickness or format. Unlike punch and bind machines or larger binders, there are no tooling changes required.

It's FAST!
With a proficient operator (it doesn't take much time to learn!), the R2 can bind up to 180 books per hour. If you are binding letter half or smaller books, the machine can bind two books simultaneously to dramatically increase your productivity.

Roughener - PGO
The FASTBIND PGO (Paper Grain Opening System) roughener, with twin rippers, bursts the paper surface and opens the grain, allowing the adhesive to penetrate deep into the paper. This in conjunction with the patented fanning system ensures a secure document with almost any paper material
