Features
Mill
Accurate spine preparation is ensured by a strong mill featuring six notching teeth made of tungsten carbide. The milling height is adjustable. (up to 4mm can be milled off the bookspine). A powerful dust extractor automatically evacuates the paper dust.
Glue tank
The MR 730 features a large glue tank with two glue drums, two side
gluing wheels and a scraper that evens the glue layer. The gluing length
can also be controlled to avoid glue overflow at the end of the spine.
Pneumati nipping station
Strong and heavy nipping jaws provide the required mechanical force to
form perfectly square bookspines. Even high grammaged covers
weighting over 400 g/mē or critical cover qualities can be handled. The
front and side positioning bars ensure the covers are accurately
registered on the nipping station. The nipping height can be adjusted via
2 setscrews.
Suction cover feeder
Large nonstop suction feeder featuring a blower for cover separation.
The cover stock position can be fine tuned by means of two setscrews.
Scoring
The cover feeder features two double scoring wheels (of which one is
motorized) for cover scoring and two single scoring wheels for eventual
flaps. The scoring depth can be adjusted by means of caliper levers.
Exit slide
The books are softly evacuated via an exit slide, thus even sensible
cover material is protected from being damaged.
Stacker
A motorized stacker can be connected to the exit belt (optional).
